This was a great read overall, absorbing and fun. The characters were interesting and had their own distinct personalities. However, I felt the book was extremely light on the world building aspect of the alien culture and history of Elbus, and the Vortex and their purpose in the galaxy. The author kept the story moving well but I would have liked to know more about the individual characters, perhaps to explain why they did the things did and such.All in all, a great absorbing read.

This was a great read overall, absorbing and fun. The characters were interesting and had their own distinct personalities.
